Headed to Hamilton airport today to pick up some friends from Alberta. We're going to spend the next 10 days doing little day trips around Ontario and playing the part of tourists.
The trip to Hamilton was a little longer than normal - but definitely good. First was a stop for grub in Fergus, followed by a concert in Guelph.
Took advantage of the sunshine and some free time. Went for a drive near by. You might recall seeing pics of this 'covered bridge' before (don't fret - you'll probably see more!). I'm looking forward to more 'day trips' like this in the months ahead.
A nice peaceful day. A day to be reminded that God is in control. Which of course is a good thing, 'cause well, He seems to know what He's up to these days!
Days of sunshine. Some free time. Camera in hand. Anybody wanna join in the fun??
Hey folks! Just wanted to remind you (or inform you- depending on who you are) of some Good News today! God's at work ... He's been at work for quite some time ...
William O. Cushing wrote this song [When He Cometh] a 'few' years ago - it is said to be on the verse in Malachi 3:17 which says, "And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels;..."
When He cometh, when He cometh To make up His jewels, All His jewels, precious jewels, His loved and His own.
Like the stars of the morning, His bright crown adorning, They shall shine in their beauty, Bright gems for His crown.
He will gather, He will gather The gems for His kingdom: All the pure ones, all the bright ones, His loved and His own.
Little children, little children, Who love their Redeemer, Are the jewels, precious jewels, His loved and His own.
From what I can tell - God's gotta pretty good crown in the works - the question I have for you is, have you secured a 'spot' in that crown? (Not sure how to get in on this crown 'action' ... send me a note! I wouldn't want you to miss out on this - just because you didn't know!)
Things seem to be moving along here, things are growing - doing what they should be - it's fun to watch! It's amazing how a 'little talkin' to' can help something grow!
Well, the Walk for Memories went well. Sun was shining - sky was blue (a good blue) - sandals were on! Figure, the best way to share the 'morning' with you is to share the pics ... so here you have 'em!
and heading to the Manulife Walk for Memories (in London). Looks like it'll be a good day - I'll see what I can do about getting some pictures along the way - and share those with you when I get back. Just wanted to thank everyone (Tom & Sylvia, Steven & Susan, Scott, Michael & Lindsay, Lorraine, Lisa & Gary, Glenys & Dale, Fred, Donna & John, Darlene, Cheryl G, Cheryl D and Carole) that helped me raise money in support of those living with Alzheimer's diseases, their families and caregivers. Thanks again all!
