you might call it the funny farm ... but whichever it is to you ... to me it's just a time to see all that God has blessed us with!
It was nice to visit the Saskatoon Berry Farm with ma and Genevera today (and no - it's not in Saskatoon - it's actually just a 15 minute drive from the folk's house).
A few more pleasures were enjoyed today - as with most days while I'm here in cowtown ...
There's no doubt that it's been a WHILE since I've boarded a plane ...
A different summer for me than in recent years it seems ...

Well a 'rank' has been added to the household ... Yuppers - Scott is a Captain ... we've been lying low most of the summer - Scott's been studying and training ... and all for a good cause as it turns out!! Another stripe is added to his epaulet ...
I'm thinkin' we should plan a 'trip' or something to celebrate ... I'll keep you posted on what we come up with!!

Before I went out for an afternoon/evening of partying I stopped by Tim's.
Got myself a boston cream (which might not come as a surprise to many of you).
The surprise for me was that I waited and waited for it ... I made a joke (yes, me).
I figured I had to wait so long 'cause they were just taking the donut out of the oven.
Who would've 'thunk' that I'd be so right. Here's what I was presented with ...
You got it ... too fresh to put in a brown bag - the chocolate was still warm ...
I'd say that that was the 'freshest' donut I've had ...
Not a bad way to start partying I guess!!
A great afternoon (and evening) with the [church] family!
It was fun to sit back (or maybe dance a little) and relax - to listen to 'music' ...
God has certainly blessed us with creative souls - I'm so thankful that we can worship Him in so many different ways.
Here's to what we give him on a daily basis!

It was nice to get out and about and enjoy the SUMMER weather on Labour Day!!
apparently there were things to see ...
We checked out the 'locks' ... saw a ship come in - go out ... and even 'sink' ...
pretty neat to see how they manipulate the water level to get the ship 'down a step'
Off to Port Dalhousie
(which of course is pronounced differently here in 'the east' as compared to 'the west')
There's nothin' like a 5 cent carousel ride!
Fun for all!!

And, let's not forget that 'food' is always needed to 'complete' the day ...
alright, I'll admit it ... it's more like sharing food with good friends that does it!
